The Medical Council of any country controls medical education. The MBBS course is of four and a half years – 6 years depending on the University followed by one year of compulsory rotating residential internship. To be eligible for a medical seat you should appear entrance tests. You should have 50% marks in your 10+2 grade or equivalent to appear for the entrance tests like CIMP, AUSMAT and Medicine Foundation. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a four-years – five years course with one-year compulsory rotary internship. Higher education in dentistry is controlled and monitored by dental council of respective country. |
